Claude Von Plato
Quality Control, JAMI. Aircraft require strict adherence to FAA policy and compliance with airworthiness directives is paramount to safety. Claude joined JAMI in 2005 and has since been the “go to” contact for the FAA when documentation and new policy is required. He organizes and updates company policy, and certifications required by the FAA. Claude is also a private pilot and A&P mechanic which gives him unique insight on how the entire aviation picture fits together. Daily, Claude is responsible with providing mechanics with detailed work orders showing preliminary work requested by all incoming aircraft, producing updated and accurate airworthiness directive searches, and inspecting log books for past work performed. As a graduate of Temple University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, his knowledge of engineering principles is vital when performing new or complex maintenance procedures that would otherwise require a specialist.
